At BJY, we have optimized our 150×408mm cavity blocks by moving away from standard mold steel. Instead, we use a specially selected high-quality aluminum alloy because of its superior thermal properties. The principle is simple—this specialized alloy removes heat from the PET bottle wall significantly faster than traditional steel, allowing you to shorten cycle times without affecting bottle stability.

The body of this 380 ml tool is machined from high strength solid aluminum bar. One piece of metal goes onto the machine, and the cavity, the water channels and the interfaces come out of it. The material is not a line item we negotiate; it is where the behaviour of the tool begins.
