BJY PET Blow Mold for Bestcrown

A blow mold is only as good as the block it is cut from, and everything that happens in our machine shop is measured against that idea. The body of this 380 ml tool is machined from high strength solid aluminum bar. One piece of metal goes onto the machine, and the cavity, the water channels and the interfaces come out of it. The material is not a line item we negotiate; it is where the behaviour of the tool begins.

The material is not a line item we negotiate; it is where the behaviour of the tool begins.
Working this way asks more of the shop. Bar stock has to be cut, faced and squared before anything useful can begin, and each operation after that follows a sequence that cannot be rushed without consequences. Critical features are held within plus or minus 0.02 mm. On a bottle of this size that figure decides how the two halves meet at the parting line, how the base insert sits against the body, and how evenly the neck is supported while the preform is being stretched.
We also look at the tool as an assembly while it is still on the bench. Two parts can each measure inside their tolerance and still sit wrongly against one another, and a mismatch of that kind is far better found here than on a filling line. Air and water connections are confirmed against the specified configuration of the Bestcrown machine before the tool is packed.
CNC machines and a team of engineers who have spent a decade in the blowing industry are what make this routine instead of heroic. BJY was founded in 2011 and has been building PET liquid packaging molds in Foshan ever since, and the name comes from a proverb about a hundred-foot pole and the step that has to be taken above it. Applied to a tolerance, that idea is straightforward: meeting it is where the work starts rather than where it stops. Design and machining are kept in the same building, so a decision taken at the bench does not have to travel through a supplier and back.
