BJY 350ml PET Blowing Mold

In high-speed bottling production, cooling is a key factor that can determine success or failure. For a 350ml PET bottle, the thermal inertia of the preform is your biggest challenge. At BJY, we have optimized our 150×408mm cavity blocks by moving away from standard mold steel. Instead, we use a specially selected high-quality aluminum alloy because of its superior thermal properties. The principle is simple—this specialized alloy removes heat from the PET bottle wall significantly faster than traditional steel, allowing you to shorten cycle times without affecting bottle stability.

The engineering design behind our mold cavities is not only about the material itself, but also about flow. We use a helical design for the internal cooling channels to promote turbulent water flow. If the water flow is laminar, you are essentially dealing with a slow-moving water layer that acts as an insulating layer. By using high-quality aluminum alloy, we can position these cooling channels closer to the cavity surface while maintaining structural integrity. This helps ensure that the thickest part of the container—the mold base—can set quickly, reducing the risk of base deformation or stress whitening when the mold opens.
Technical managers choose BJY because we understand the OEE gap. A mold is not simply a container; it is also a heat exchanger. Since 2011, our engineering team has continuously optimized these mold designs. For a plant operating at peak capacity, even a 0.5-second reduction in cycle time can mean hundreds of thousands of additional bottles per month. This is the competitive advantage that comes from choosing a tool engineered for heat transfer.
There is no need to worry about durability. Although aluminum is lighter, our specialized alloy modules are reinforced with hardened steel bushings at all high-pressure locking points. We also combine this with a hard-anodizing treatment to achieve a surface hardness. You get the thermal responsiveness of aluminum together with the structural service life of a steel mold. This is a hybrid design developed to meet the practical demands of modern, high-pressure beverage production.
