Bottle Gripper

Filling and rinsing lines change over time. Bottle formats get updated, equipment is modified, and the gripper specification that worked at original commissioning may not reflect what the line actually needs today. BJY builds the 98.5x59mm Bottle/Preform Gripper with this in mind. The standard dimension is the starting point. What the customer line is actually running is the reference.
The gripper sits below the bottle support ring, gripping the neck to carry the container through the process arc. The jaw body is machined from food-grade 316L stainless steel, selected for its performance in the wet, regularly cleaned conditions of beverage filling and rinsing lines, and appropriate for contact surfaces in food and beverage production environments.

Technical Principle
The jaw assembly, 98.5mm long and 59mm wide, wraps around the bottle neck below the support ring. As the carrier rotates, the jaw holds the bottle through the filling or rinsing arc and releases it at the correct handoff position.
Where the jaw profile matches the bottle neck geometry well, the holding force distributes evenly across the contact area. The bottle stays in position through the arc and releases on time. Where the match is poor, from wear or from a part that was never dimensioned correctly, force concentrates at specific contact points. This accelerates jaw wear and introduces variability into the grip, which compounds as the part ages toward its replacement date.
Operational Advantages
Compatibility with the existing carrier arm is the first requirement for a replacement gripper. The 98.5x59mm specification corresponds to the mounting geometry used on a range of mainstream filling and rinsing systems. A gripper held to this dimension drops into the existing arm without mechanical modification.
Food-grade 316L stainless steel maintains surface condition through the service life of the part under the conditions typical of beverage filling and rinsing lines. Regular washdowns, product residue, and cleaning cycles are part of normal operation. 316L performs consistently in this environment, keeping the jaw profile stable across the full replacement interval. A jaw that holds its geometry performs consistently. One that does not introduces cumulative errors in grip force, in bottle positioning, and eventually in line output.
The open-close cycle runs throughout every production shift. 316L handles this repeated loading without developing surface deformation at the jaw contact points, keeping wear gradual and replacement intervals predictable.
